The binding financial offers for the Grand Hyatt Athens hotel are expected to be submitted within the next week. The seller is the Henderson Park and Hines group, which acquired the original building at auction six years ago and then invested around €140 million. 

According to the same sources, the current, final phase of bidding involves the US private equity fund Blackstone, Bain Capital, and Trinity Investments, which is believed to have already developed a very close relationship with Hyatt Hotels Corporation through its participation in the scheme that acquired the Park Hyatt Zurich in Switzerland.

According to reports, Henderson Park and Hines are seeking a price of between €220-230 million.
