
Athens Stock Exchange posts marginal gains with the market looking for a domestic catalyst that will change the weak performance of the last few sessions.
In this climate the General Index gains 0.2% at 1,409 points with turnover at 8.575 million euros and volume at 2.199 million pieces.
It is noted that the index is already recording a negative streak of five sessions.
In the large-cap FTSE gains 0.5% to 3,426 points and its mid-cap FTSEM counterpart gains 0.29% to 2,296 points.
The banking index retreats 0.18% to 1,208 points. Eurobank and ETE lose 0.62% and 0.33% respectively. Alpha Bank gains 0.6% and Piraeus gains 0.1%. Optima gains 0.31%.
In the FTSE, Elvalhalkor gains 1.67% and OPAP gains 1.41%. In the mid-cap sector, Trade Estates gains 0.75%.
