The Athens Stock Exchange attempts to continue yesterday's upward reaction (the best session of 2024), with buyers remaining at the helm.

The Greek market shows willingness to further approach 1,450 points, which is the intermediate stop before the big target of 1,502 points (13-year high), having as a main vehicle the attractive valuations and pleasant news from the London investment conference.

Specifically, in the second session of the week, the General Index rose by +0.64% to 1,433.40 points, gaining at least nine points compared to Monday's close (1,424.33 points).

The arc of daily fluctuations extends to six points (from 1,429.55 to 1,435.62 points), with trading turnover exceeding 6.6 million euros in the first 10 minutes.

Banking index continues to climb from recent 10-month lows, as it is currently +0.92% and 1,213 points, boosted by the definitive end of the tax emergency scenarios.

NBG's shares widen +2.04% and 7.086 euros, Eurobank's shares follow at +1.89% and 2.152 euros, Piraeus' shares trade +1.52% and 3.685 euros, while Alpha's shares rise +1.23% and 1.558 euros.

In the high-cap index (+0.66% and 3,474 points), Titan Cement's share climbs to 40 euros, rising 0.5% and breaking another historical record. Jumbo's shares also show gains of 2%, while OTE's shares follow at +1% and 15.1 euros. PPC, Sarantis and Viohalco are up +0.7% to +1.1%. On the flip side, AIA and ELVALHALCOR lose 0.5% and 0.6%, respectively.

As for the mid-cap index (+0.13% and 2,266 points), ABAX shares stand out at +2% and €1.47, attempting to approach the €1.5 milestone. Fourlis, Intracom and Lavipharm follow at around +1%, with the shares of AXAE gaining 0.7% to reach 4.5 euros. On the other hand, shares of Intralot and Technical Olympics are down -0.5% and -0.8%, respectively.
