Greece grows by 2.4% in the 3rd quarter
Greece's GDP grew by 2.4% year on year in the third quarter, according to ELSTAT data. Growth on a quarterly basis was 0.3%.

Based on the non-seasonally adjusted data, the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in volume terms, in Q3 2024 showed an increase of 2.5% compared to Q3 2023.
The changes in the main macroeconomic variables in volume terms with seasonal adjustment are as follows:
Quarterly changes
- Total final consumption expenditure increased by 0.1% compared to Q2 2024.
- Gross fixed capital formation decreased by 1.1% compared to Q2 2024.
- Exports of goods and services increased by 0.9% compared to the 2nd quarter of 2024. Exports of goods decreased by 0.2%, while exports of services increased by 1.3%.
- Imports of goods and services decreased by 0.9% compared to the 2nd quarter of 2024. Imports of goods decreased by 2.1%, while imports of services increased by 3.9%.
Annual changes
- Total final consumption expenditure increased by 1.3% compared to Q3 2023.
- Gross fixed capital formation increased by 0.3% compared to Q3 2023.
- Exports of goods and services increased by 3.3% compared to Q3 2023.
- Exports of goods increased by 1.2%, while exports of services increased by 5.1%.
- Imports of goods and services increased by 4.2% compared to the 3rd quarter of 2023. Imports of goods increased by 2.3% and imports of services increased by 12.5%.
