
The Athens market remains unchanged, continuing for the second day in the 1,460 zone as the sector that fueled the December uptrend is looking for its pace. The General Index stands at 1,459 points with just +0.07%, having moved within a narrow 6.5 point range.
The banking index is trading at 1,291 points with marginal changes, the FTSE high-cap index is at 3,562 points with just +0.08%, and the FTSEM mid-cap index is at 2,294 points with -0.14%.
As mentioned above, Piraeus is positively diversified in the banking sector with +0.7% at EUR 3.86 and the highest (except for GEK TERNA) turnover of the day of around EUR 6 million.
Alpha remains around unchanged at EUR 1.62, with BG just -0.1% and Eurobank -0.2%. Sarantis tops the FTSE with +1.9%, while Metlen is up 1% with the 5th highest turnover of the session at 2.5m.
GEK Terna moves to EUR 18.62 with +1.2% and trading worth 32.8m, but 32m in 4 blocks of a total of 1.77m shares changed hands at EUR 18. ELPE is up +0.8%, with Titan up +0.4% attempting to break the four-day correction it has been running. In sellers' moves, PPC is under the most pressure at -1.2%, with Ellaktor also at -1%.
In the mid-cap sector, Thrace Plastics stands out, moving +2.1%, Intralot at +1.1%, and Profile at +0.9% on transactions worth €390k, while Optima and Dimand are down around -1.1%. Beyond that, Attica Bank retreats to 0.66 euros with -1.5%
