The first LNG-CNG station in the industrial area of Thriassio was inaugurated by Elin in cooperation with Molgas. The new station marks Greece's entry into the LNG and CNG market, which is experiencing rapid growth at European level. The station was designed to serve the needs of heavy road transport vehicles, such as trucks, buses and other delivery vehicles, offering multiple benefits to these vehicles and professional transporters.

TOWARDS A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE

Elin's President and CEO, Ioannis Aliyizakis, spoke of solutions that promote energy efficiency and reduce the environmental footprint while enhancing the competitiveness of transport. "The establishment of the first LNG-CNG station in Attica is another milestone in Elin's path towards sustainable development," he stressed.

Alexandros Lagakos, General Manager of Molgas in Greece, stressed that the Group "after the operation of our first service station in Greece and specifically in Thessaloniki last July, we are particularly happy to join forces with Elin, a company intertwined with quality and reliability in the fuel sector, for the creation of this new LNG-CNG refuelling point in Attica. With these first two refuelling points, the movement of heavy vehicles with LNG on the country's main road axis is served seamlessly and with absolute reliability, while at the same time the implementation of new service stations in our country is progressing."
