Stagnation prevails today (10/1) on the Athens Stock Exchange, with investors making cautious and measured moves.

Of course, this does not prevent the Greek market from continuing to show off above 1,500 points, the highest levels since April 2011, confirming the positive sentiment of January.

On the other hand, however, the prolonged uncertainty prevailing abroad is putting obstacles in the way of Athens' further climb, despite attractive valuations and optimistic assessments.

Specifically, in the last session of the week, the General Index rose imperceptibly by 0.08% to 1,512.10 points, gaining one point compared to Thursday's close (1,510.93 points).

The arc of the daily fluctuations extends over four points (from 1,508.42 to 1,512.20 points), with the turnover of the transactions ranging at 6 million euros in the first 15 minutes.

The banking index, which is expanding +6% since the beginning of the year, is accumulating strength at +0.18% and 1,365 points.

Alpha's share is up +1.28% and 1.745 euros, Eurobank's share follows at +0.68% and 2.373 euros, Piraeus' share trades -0.12% and 4.19 euros, while ΝBG's share falls -0.25% and 8.028 euros.

In the high-cap index (+0.16% and 3,686 points), PPC shares are up 0.5% and exceed 12.7 euros, which is the highest point since 2010. OPAP, Hellaktor and Jumbo show gains of 0.5%. On the flip side, OTE shares lose 0.6% and fold at 15 euros, while shares of ELVALHALKOR and Viohalco are down around 0.5%.

As for the mid-cap index (+0.07% and 2,450 points), Lavipharm shares stand out at +1.8% and 0.83 euros, with Profile shares following at +1.3% and 5.4 euros, climbing to a new all-time high. Intracom's shares, after yesterday's +5% gain, continue at +1.1% and 3.2 euros. In contrast, Dimand's shares retreat to -0.7% and 8.2 euros.
