Metlen is expanding its activities in Italy, securing €67.9 million in financing for the construction of 71.5 MW through 5 large-scale photovoltaic parks, which will be located in strategic areas such as Emilia Romagna, Lazio, Campania and Puglia.
The projects are estimated to produce around 135 GWh of clean energy per year, meeting the energy needs of over 55,000 Italian households and helping to avoid 65,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions per year. Their completion is expected within 2025.
THE STRATEGY UP TO 2028
These projects are part of Metlen's broader development strategy, which is pursuing over 1.7 GW of solar power and 300 MW of energy storage systems (BESS) by 2028. The financing was secured through Piraeus.
Metlen is active in various regions of Italy with a portfolio of 180 projects totalling 3.59 GW over the next 4 years.
