Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis has a strong digital stigma, as he points out in his post in his regular review of the week. In it, he refers to the digital school and the new free digital portal through which digital tutorials are offered to students of all grades, digital lessons to students in remote areas, and an electronic platform for informing parents about their children's performance and school activity. "The free and free digital school is an important tool for all students. It is also a help for parents as it can reduce their expenses on extracurricular courses and tutorials," the Prime Minister said, taking the opportunity to wish the students of the third grade good luck in the final examinations that start tomorrow.

Mitsotakis also refers to JOBmatch, the new free application and platform of the DYPA, which aims to directly connect tourism and catering businesses with those looking for jobs in these specialties.

Leaving the education sector, the next topic of the review is the Health Ministry's PROLAMVANO programme, the programme of preventive examinations for which the Prime Minister notes that it is "a flagship investment in public health that aims to save lives! What could be more important?". He adds that "in June the first SMS for the programme for the prevention of colorectal cancer is expected to start being sent, and later this year the programme for the prevention of cardiovascular diseases will also be launched,"  stressing that prevention is a step of enormous importance for the protection of public health.

The electronic auctions for the concession of simple use of the seashore and beach, under the law recently passed by Parliament, are the next issue that Mitsotakis is addressing.

This is followed by the "Draft Law of the Ministry of National Defence, which also has a digital aspect, and when the consultation is completed, it will make its way to Parliament. It provides for the establishment of a Greek Center for Defense Innovation, the creation of a Joint Information Technology Body in the Armed Forces, the upgrading of their electronic services, and the level of cyber security."

Noting that "we continue to seek and secure additional European resources for actions in favour of society,"  the Prime Minister referred briefly to the European Commission's spring forecasts on the economic performance of member states published last week. "According to the Commission's report, Greece is in 1st place in the projected growth rate of investment (6.7% in 2024 and 8.4% in 2025), with Malta in second place, almost 2 points behind, while the average in the Eurozone will be almost zero in 2024 (0.1%) and only 1.6% in 2025," he stresses, among other things.

The Prime Minister concludes his review today by referring to the "dramatic improvement in the quality of governance—the largest improvement worldwide!—that Greece achieved in the four-year period 2021–2024. According to the annual authoritative Chandler Good Governance Index (CGGI), Greece managed to improve its ranking by nine places over four years. The accompanying report notes that 'Greece wins the prize for the greatest overall improvement in its score over the four-year period', as it recorded progress in six of the seven pillars of criteria related to aspects of governance and the economy."
