The Athens Stock Exchange continues today (20/5) with the "conquest" of 1,500 points as its main objective, with buyers controlling the market's reins thanks to selective supports.

Banks maintain the positive sentiment, which so far ensures an average return of over 15% for 2024, while new 13-year highs come to confirm the upward trend of the period.

Investors' attention, meanwhile, remains focused on the fundamentals of listed companies, whose valuations are on a steady improvement path, solemnly contradicting the May Cassandras.

More specifically, in today's session, the General Index is up slightly by 0.67% to 1,500.48 points, gaining 10 points compared to Friday's close (1,490.46 points).

The arc of daily fluctuations extends 10 points (from 1,495.66 to 1,505.07 points), with a turnover of 41 million euros, of which 5.2 million euros are pre-agreed packages.

On the board, now, banks continue to rise, with Alpha Bank standing out by over +2%. Coca-Cola, Jumbo, PPC, and Titan follow by over 1%, while Aegean's shares tumble by 4.3% due to the dividend cut-off.

The shares of Coca-CCola, Jumbo, Lamda Development, Titan, Sarantis, and Elvalhalkor also show gains of more than 1%. On the other hand, the Aegean share shrinks by 4.3% and retreats to 12.5 euros, as it is trading without dividend rights as of today. Cenergy's shares are also moving up by 1.7%.
