Sky Express has entered into a strategic partnership with British Airways and Etihad Airways, further enhancing the attraction of international visitors to the country throughout the year.

Passengers flying with British Airways from the UK and Etihad Airways from Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Australia to Athens International Airport will be able to continue their journey to one of the 33 Greek destinations served by SKY Express with a single ticket.

British Airways is the largest airline in the United Kingdom and one of the largest airlines in the world, with the most transatlantic flights in Europe. In 2023 alone, it carried 43 million passengers travelling to more than 200 destinations around the world.

Similarly, Sky Express's new strategic interconnection with Etihad Airways meets the travel needs of passengers from Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Australia and strengthens the Greek airline's network around the world. Etihad Airways, the national carrier of the United Arab Emirates, is one of the fastest-growing airlines in the world and last year carried 14 million passengers, an increase of 40%.

"We are very pleased to enter into these strategic partnerships, which demonstrate SKY Express's steady upward trajectory in the international market and its reliability. We now count 18 partnerships with major global carriers and counting. For all of us at Sky Express, the goal is to strengthen connectivity and demand. We work every day to make Greece a sought-after year-round travel destination for passengers from all over the world," said Gerasimos Skaltsas, Chief Commercial Officer of SKY Express.
