The Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) announces data on the evolution of turnover among enterprises in all sectors of the economy, incorporating the most recent data on turnover from administrative sources for March and the 1st quarter of 2024.

Compared to 99.27 billion euros in the first quarter of 2023, turnover climbed by 1.5% to reach 100.81 billion euros in the first quarter of 2024.

The biggest increase in turnover in the first quarter of 2024 compared with the first quarter of 2023 was recorded from the enterprises in the section Administrative and Support Service Activities, per 20,0%, while the biggest decrease in turnover was recorded from the enterprises in the section Electricity, Gas, Steam, and Air Conditioning Supply.

For the enterprises of the economy as a whole, obliged to double-entry accounting bookkeeping, for which data are available on a monthly basis, the turnover in March 2024 amounted to €29,283,443 euro, recording a decrease of 2.0% in comparison with March 2023, when the respective turnover was €29,883,883 euro.

The biggest decrease in turnover in March 2024 compared with March 2023 was recorded from the enterprises of the section Electricity, Gas, Steam and Air Conditioning Supply, per 25.7%, while the biggest increase was recorded from the enterprises of the section Construction, per 14.7%
