Last year, ProCredit Bank Greece, the bank that "entered" the Greek market during the critical year of capital controls by acquiring its first branch in Thessaloniki, at a time when other foreign financial institutions were looking for an exit from the country, reached 500 million euros, compared to 400 million euros in 2022.

Based on this branch, ProCredit Bank Greece, whose business model combines electronic and conventional banking, serves around 5,000 corporate clients, from Alexandroupoli to Crete, with direct and personalized contact with them, as well as 10,000 individuals.

This hybrid model works efficiently, which is why the bank is not currently considering the further development of its branch network in Greece, maintaining its presence in Thessaloniki, which was chosen as a base mainly due to the export orientation of its businesses.

The loans granted by ProCredit Bank Greece are largely 'green'. In particular, more than 65% of ProCredit's lending in Greece is in this category of loans, but they are granted according to strict criteria (the bank was one of the first to finance photovoltaic and renewable energy investments in Greece, and has lent 20% of investments in biogas projects).

Otherwise, one third of its loans are in the primary sector. Its clients are mainly small and medium-sized enterprises (accounting for 90% of its lending), while its NPLs (non-performing loans) are no more than 1.3%. The bank, which employs about 50 people in Greece, 40 of whom are in the business part, was briefed by its president, Petar Slavov, and directors, Stylianos Vlisidis and Georgia Tsina.
