Autohellas announces its results for the first quarter of 2024, with consolidated net sales of €217.1 million compared to €221.6 million in 2023 and EBITDA of €51.5 million compared to €47.8 million in the same quarter last year. Group Earnings Before Taxes (EBT) amounted to €10 million compared to €10.3 million in 2023, with the corresponding Earnings After Taxes at €7.9 million, representing an increase of 6.0% in the seasonally weaker quarter of the year.

According to the company, turnover from leasing activity in Greece increased in the first quarter of 2024 by 9.4% compared to 2023, reaching €53.6 million, with the increase coming from both short-term and long-term leases.

More specifically, increased local market demand and tourist arrivals in the year's weakest quarter helped short-term lease growth in an environment where rental prices were lower. At the same time, in long-term leases, there has been a significant increase in order intake and contract awards, which have already led to fleet growth.

International sales related to the automotive leasing sector totaled €32.7 million from €30.3 million in 2023, representing an increase of 7.9%, with balanced growth in short-term and long-term leases, with particular momentum occurring in monthly corporate leases.

Finally, the group companies related to the import and distribution of automobiles contributed a total of €130.9 million, showing a decrease of 8.1% in turnover, as after the restoration of the supply chain, there was no corresponding transfer of orders from previous years in 2024 (which limited 2022 but benefited in terms of invoicing in 2023). Recall that the FIAT/JJEEP/AALFA ROMEO business is not consolidated at turnover level due to joint control with Samelet and relates to an additional turnover of €31.6 million for the first quarter.
