Cautious moves from the buyers side
Today (5/6), the Athens Stock Exchange is gradually rising as buyers respond temperedly to yesterday's losses, which drove the General Index down to 1,420 points, the lowest level in 1.5 months.

The Athens Stock Exchange is moving cautiously upwards today (5/6), with buyers reacting with... measure to yesterday's losses, which brought the General Index to 1,420 points and the 1.5 month low.

Reluctance, however, remains dominant in the Greek market, which is having a noticeable difficulty in re-approaching the 1,502-unit tops (about 5% away) amid a broader trend towards assimilation of gains.

More specifically, in today's session, the General Index is up slightly by 0.46% to 1,431.30 points, gaining 6.5 points compared to Tuesday's close (1,424.69 points).

The arc of daily fluctuations extends over three points (from 1,431.15 to 1,434.72 points), with the turnover of transactions ranging from 4 million euros in the first 15 minutes.

Piraeus shares are marginally stronger at +0.31% and 3.60 euros, Alpha Bank shares increase imperceptibly at +0.13% and 1.542 euros, Eurobank shares are trading at +0.25% and 2.045 euros, and National Bank shares are almost unchanged at 7.8 euros.

In the high-cap index (+0.59% and 3,461 points), Coca - Cola's share climbs by 2% and returns to 32.1 euros, approaching again the resistance of 32.8 euros (4-year high). Viohalco, Aegean, Hellaktor, OPAP and OTE follow at +1%, with Mytilineos shares unchanged at 36.5 euros. And Autohellas is recovering from 15-month lows, rising 1.5%. In contrast, shares of Helleniq Energy, Titan, and Elvalhalcor lose 0.5% each.

As for the mid-cap index (+0.26% and 2,321 points), Intralot shares stand out positively at +1.75% and EUR 1.16, with Intracom Holdings shares following at +1.4% and EUR 3.6. Premia, Lavipharm and Austriacard are up more than 1%. On the other hand, Alumyl shares lose 1%
