Panagiotis Balomenos takes over as CEO of GAIAOSE, coming from Hellenic Public Properties, where he held the position of Deputy CEO. Mr. Balomenos, having previously served as Executive Director of the (March 2022–June 2024), interim CEO (November 2022–December 2023), and Deputy CEO (December 2023–June 2024), has expertise and experience in the areas of real estate, as well as business transformation and the management of complex programmes and projects.

As stated in an announcement by the State Treasury, Mr. Balomenos' assumption of the position is based on his well-documented experience in the real estate sector, as the major challenges facing GAIAOSE in the context of the broader reform that is underway include, in particular, the transformation of the company into a pure real estate company.

At the same time, the move is in line with the Growth Fund's discursive strategy of evaluating and promoting experienced insiders who have proven their competence and knowledge of the group's internal processes and culture.
