Stagnation prevails today (21/6) on the Athens Stock Exchange, with investors engaging in selective positioning and evaluating all the latest developments.

The mega-deal in Terna Energy continues to be prominent, while at the same time the market is "numbed" by MSCI's decision not to include the Athens Stock Exchange in a watch list for upgrading in developed markets.

And all this while, within the day, we expect the triple expiration of derivatives and the usual restructuring of indices, which is expected to bring a spike in trading value.

More specifically, in today's session, the General Index is up marginally by 0.13% to 1,423.49 points, gaining about two points compared to Thursday's close (1,421.71 points).

The arc of the daily fluctuations extends to four points (from 1,421.65 to 1,425.90 points), with the turnover of the transactions ranging at 4.5 million euros in the first 20 minutes.

On the board, Helleniq Energy and Motor Oil are struggling to react after the shock of the extraordinary tax. From there, Titan attempts to recover 30 euros, Coca - Cola returns above 32 euros, and Intrakat falls below 5 euros.

The banking index is almost unchanged at +0.04% and 1,247 points, remaining at a distance of more than 7% from this year's highs (1,349 points).

Alpha Bank's shares are subtly up +0.30% at +0.30% and 1.5245 euros, Piraeus' shares are up +0.14% and 3.504 euros, Eurobank's shares are trading -0.10% and 2.08 euros; and National Bank's shares are stable at 8.08 euros.

In the high-cap index (+0.08% and 3,450 points), Coca - Cola's share expands +1.1% and 32.1 euros, with Titan Cement's share attempting to exceed 30 euros again. Helleniq Energy and Motor Oil, at the same time, show small fluctuations, affected by the extraordinary tax on 2023 earnings. On the flip side, Mytilineos' shares slide -0.9% and EUR 35.4. Cenergy, Jumbo and OTE follow with losses of up to 0.6%.

As for the mid-cap index (+0.13% and 2,260 points), Fourlis shares stand out positively at +2% and 3.87 euros, while Alumyl, Intralot and PPA follow at around 1%. On the contrary, the shares of EXAE fold at -1.20% and lose 5 euros. AVAX, Intrakat and Ideal retreat by at least 1%
