As stated in the announcement, for the proper information of the investing public, Alpha Services and Holdings S.A. ("Alpha Holdings") refutes untrue recent reports in the electronic press, according to which Alpha Holdings has entered into negotiations for the acquisition of a stake in Bank of Cyprus Holdings Public Limited Company ("Bank of Cyprus") from its existing shareholders.

As part of the implementation of its announced strategic plan, Alpha Holdings monitors the market to evaluate investment opportunities and informs the investing public in accordance with applicable legislation.
