The completion of the online auctions for the concession of beaches is at 90%, with the interest of businesses being particularly high. In fact, due to the high interest, additional parts of beaches and seashores that were not included in the electronic auctions in the past have been included in the process.

It is recalled that the electronic auctions are being implemented universally for the first time this year and will replace the previous system of individual concessions per municipality. 

In detail, 1,699 e-auctions have been conducted to date (the original forecast for this year was to complete around 1,200), and a further 225 remain to be completed in the coming days.

The vast majority of the new concessionaires have signed the leases and have settled in the concession areas. In the coming days, any outstanding issues relating to the remaining concession contracts as well as those relating to adjacent businesses will also be addressed.

At the same time, an additional 6,500 concessions signed as early as 2023 are also in full operation. Now, the new concessionaires have to comply with the operating rules set out in the recently passed law as well as all concessionaires in terms of the fines they face in case of breach of the agreements.
