The Athens Stock Exchange finds selected supports today (27/6), with buyers regaining the lead over sellers in an attempt to pull the General Index away from the 1,400 level.

Of course, volatility and nervousness continue to play a key role in investor psychology amid the absence of domestic catalysts and ahead of Sunday's French elections.

Thus, the 1400 points continue to be the main support, at the same time as the Greek market has folded 6.5% from the recent highs of 1,502 points.

In this context, the General Index is up slightly by 0.23% to 1,409.49 points, gaining about 3.5 points compared to Wednesday's close (1,406.24 points).

The arc of daily fluctuations extends to seven points (from 1,403.78 to 1,411.17 points), with the turnover of transactions ranging at 47 million euros, of which 15.9 million euros are pre-agreed packages.

On the board, banks are now the focus of investor interest, with Ethniki and Piraeus recovering around 2%. On the other hand, Eurobank and Optima Bank are retreating by at least 1%.

With the correction from this year's peaks exceeding 10%, the banking index is trying to put a brake on losses, reacting at +0.87% and 1,217 points.

Piraeus shares recover to +2.27% and 3.426 euros, Ethnikis shares rise to +1.78% and 7.764 euros, Alpha Bank shares rise to +0.48% and 1.473 euros, while Eurobank shares fold to -1.39% and 2.056 euros.

In the high-cap index (+0.37% and 3,418 points), Jumbo's shares are up +1% and 26.8 euros, while the shares of Cenergy, Aegean and Athens International Airport gain more than 1%. And Hellaktor's shares are attempting to approach the 2.5 euro mark (+0.8%). On the flip side, Viohalco's shares are down -0.8% and 5.7 euros, with Motor Oil's shares losing 1% and folding to 23.6 euros.

As for the mid-cap index (-0.71% and 2,241 points), Optima Bank shares stand out negatively at -1.7% and 12.3 euros, correcting from recent historical highs. Shares of Technical Olympiaki, Quest, and Profile are down at least 1%. In contrast, Lavipharm's shares soar to +3% and EUR 0.83. Kri-Kri follows at +1.3% and 11 euros.
