Nervousness continues on the Athens Stock Exchange, with investors engaging in selective positioning, unable to break away from the critical support of 1,400 points.

The Greek market remains trapped in the grip of French political uncertainty, while the first round of early parliamentary elections will be held on Sunday.

At the same time, the absence of domestic catalysts is hampering the efforts of buyers, who see the X.A. retreating to its lowest level in two months, bidding farewell to a bearish June.

Against this backdrop, in today's last session of the month, the General Index is up marginally by 0.22% to 1,403.51 points, gaining three points compared to Thursday's close (1,400.43 points).

The arc of daily fluctuations extends to four points (from 1,400.24 to 1,404.95 points), with trading turnover of 5.5 million in the first 20 minutes.

The banking index is trying to defend current levels, moving +0.17% and 1,211 points. Of course, the decline in June is close to 9%.

Alpha Bank's shares are dynamically gaining +1.50% and 1.4845 euros; Piraeus' shares are marginally up +0.18% and 3.40 euros; Ethniki's shares are unchanged at 7.8 euros; and Eurobank's shares are down -0.29% and 2.044 euros.

In the high-cap index (+0.24% and 3,399 points), Aegean's share expands +1.7% and 11.4 euros, recovering from 7-month lows. ELVALCHALKOR's share also rises by 1.5%, with Jumbo, Lamda, Motor Oil, and OTE following at +0.5%. On the other hand, Hellaktor's shares retracted by 0.6%.

As for the mid-cap index (-0.44% and 2,221 points), Optima's share shrinks to -3.1% and 11.6 euros, continuing the correction path from recent records. Techniki Olympiaki and HKE slip by at least 1%. On the flip side, Lavipharm's shares strengthen to +1.5% and EUR 0.85, while shares of Fourlis, Quest, AVAX, and Kri Kri gain almost 1%.
