Greece has completed the National Strategic Reference Frameworks (NSRF) 2014-2020 by absorbing all the funds, while in the new NSRF 2021-2027, and in particular in the indicators for the European Social Fund, it is already in the top three of absorption among Member States.
Nikos Papathanasis, the Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance, emphasized this when he welcomed attendees to the Annual Meeting of the "Human Resources and Social Cohesion" Programme of the NSRF 2021–2027 in Athens.
As Mr. Papathanasis said, "through the Human Resources and Social Cohesion Programme 2021-2027, thousands of people are expected to be helped to find jobs and gain work experience and new skills. As well, thousands of pupils, students, and vulnerable social groups are expected to be supported. With initiatives such as programmes to integrate the unemployed into the labour market, inclusive education in schools, and systemic interventions in health, gender equality, and social inclusion, we continue to implement our commitments, responding in a concrete way to the allegations of allegedly channelling European resources to the "few and powerful," using every available euro with a view to sustainable development with social cohesion".
