Desserta Hellas has announced the acquisition of cheese factory Doriki by Minerva Olive Oil and Food Enterprises.

According to the announcement, all employees of both companies were present at a special event in Ioannina, where the two parties officially announced the signing of the agreement.

Desserta Hellas President and CEO Athanasios Platanias said. A chapter of dynamic extroversion in terms of production and penetration of new markets outside Greece. We are proud and together with our strategic partner, Berglandmilch e-Gen, we will work hard to justify the growth policy we have planned."

Josef Braunshofer, CEO of Berglandmilch and shareholder in Desserta Hellas, mentioned the expertise as well as the experience in the cheese industry and international markets: "In Berglandmilch, we had a wide range of cheese products, but no feta. Today, this pending issue has been resolved. We succeeded in adding a factory that produces excellent-quality feta. We are here together with our strategic partner Desserta Hellas, offering our strong sales network across Europe and good practices that will help the transformation of the factory and also the milk producers. We are producers, just like you. We believe, we invest, and we support our long-term strategic choices."

Katerina Vlachou, CEO of Minerva S.A., says: "We thank our colleagues at the Ioannina plant for the excellent cooperation over the years. We wish them success in the new chapter they are starting and we are confident that new paths of growth are opening up through the network and experience of Desserta Hellas and Bergalndmilch in the cheese industry."

It should be noted that the HORIO brand, including the cheese products, remain the property of Minerva S.A. and, under the agreement, will continue to be produced at the plant. The management's strategic objective for Dorica is to consolidate in foreign markets and develop the range of Greek cheese products, offering high quality to consumers around the world.
