6.7 billion euros are the initial debts that have been settled through the out-of-court mechanism until the end of June, raising the number of successful settlements to a total of 19,223 as announced today by the Ministry of Finance.

It is noted that in June alone, new arrangements amounted to 1,344, recording an all-time high.   The ministry released a report detailing the approval rates of financial institutions (banks and management companies) for applications with debts up to €250,000, with Intrum, QQuant, and Veraltis recording the highest rates.

Also detailed are the arrangements corresponding to the largest loan management companies in May, four of which made a total of EUR 290 million in direct bilateral arrangements for 4,154 debtors.

In addition, it is noted that, according to data from the General Secretariat for Financial Sector and Private Debt Management, a total of 13,000 appointments were made in Q2 2024 through the online platform for remote debtor service, myEGDIX.live.gov.gr. This is a significant increase from the 12,000 in Q1 2024.
