Shipbuilding programme at €1.2 billion
The Attica Group plans to build up to ten new ships at a cost of €1.2 billion.

Attica Group increases its shipbuilding programme to €1.2 billion for up to 10 new ships. A few days ago, it signed an agreement for the construction of 2 very large coasters and the possibility of extending the agreement to 4 ships with Stena and CMJL Weihai Shipyards. In addition, it intends to acquire two more Aero Catamaran high-speed vessels, but of larger capacity than the three it already operates in the Saronic Gulf.

At the same time, it will also proceed with the construction of two other medium-size passenger ferries, i.e., between 140 and 170 metres, plus two new buildings for large passenger vessels.

In fact, if the Ministry of Shipping announces a tender for public service contracts, the duration and conditions of which will be such as to allow for the financing of ships, the company will reportedly be present.
