In the near future, Piraeus Bank will enter the markets with a green five-year bond.  The bank has mandated BNP Paribas as Sole Green Structurer and BNP Paribas, BofA, Commerzbank, HSBC, and Intesa Sanpaolo as underwriters of the issue.

The issue is a 5-year issue with a maturity of 5 years, callable at the earliest in 4 years (5NC4).

The proceeds are expected to be used to finance and/or refinance the bank's green assets and further strengthen the MREL asset base.

The transaction is expected to take place in the near future, depending on market conditions, and the security is expected to receive a Baa3 rating from Moody's.
