The project "Detection of arbitrary buildings with modern technological means" is included in the Recovery and Resilience Fund by the decision of the Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance, Nikos Papathanasis.

The aim is to create an integrated system that, using new technologies combined with high-resolution aerial photographs, will increase the ability of state services to identify and control cases of arbitrary buildings in a documented manner.

The project budget amounts to €123 million, of which €23 million will be financed by the national part of the Public Investment Programme.

The contribution of this project is decisive for the implementation of the reform, under the responsibility of the Minister of Environment and Energy, Theodoros Skylakakis, concerning the system of monitoring the built environment and the detection and demolition of arbitrary constructions.

The project is implemented by the Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE).
