Supermarket chain Diamantis Masoutis continues to grow in each financial quarter, recording the highest growth rates in its history. According to the company, its first-half results showed a growth rate twice that of the industry. It is noted that in 2023, the company's turnover exceeded €1 billion, with a growth rate of 16%.
At the same time, as the announcement states, investments in the tourist areas are paying off, as the company has managed to establish a strong presence in the Greek Islands through a dynamic growth plan while supporting local producers and local products. Aiming to further upgrade the shopping experience of consumers, Masoutis is constantly investing in new stores and renovating existing ones, while also creating a modern and user-friendly e-shop for consumers to make their purchases easily and quickly.
Grand Masoutis stores are the flagship stores that have a presence in Attica. The first Grand Masoutis in Attica in Glyfada, with a total area of 2,000 sqm, is a representative example of a completely upgraded shopping experience.
At the same time, the largest project of Masoutis in Attica so far has been licensed and is being implemented on a privately owned site of 5 acres in the area of Three Gefyres. This real estate project by Masoutis is the company's most important investment in Attica so far, as it is expected to exceed 30 million euros. It is also the largest project currently underway in the Municipality of Athens. The development includes the creation of the new Grand Masoutis in Athens and the parallel construction on the same site of a building complex of two 9-story apartment buildings.
The Masoutis store at 3 Gefires, the second in Attica after the Grand Store in Glyfada, will be developed on a level of approximately 2,000 sq m, while the two twin 9-story apartment buildings to be erected directly above will accommodate 110 apartments of different sizes. The complex will also have two underground car parks; one will serve the store for parking the store's vehicles, while the second will be located on a different level and will serve the parking of vehicles of the residents of the two residential complexes.
It should be noted that the plot on which this development will be implemented will also be used to construct a petrol station, as the point located at the junction of Kallari, Kourtidou, and Regoukou Streets is central to serving the residents of the area as well as refuelling passing vehicles.
