The parliament's plenary session approved the bill with the support of the New Democracy, which included "Strengthening tourism infrastructure and tourism education, updating the framework for the practice of the professions of tour guides and timeshare rentals, regulations of tourism operators, and other provisions to strengthen tourism." With the exception of the "Spartans," who declared "present," the opposition parties essentially declared "no" and "yes" to the New Republic's declarations.

"The government and the Ministry of Tourism continue to promote the necessary reforms aimed at the sustainable and qualitative development of tourism in our country," said Tourism Minister Olga Kefalogianni, according to the Athens News Agency. "Our strategy at the Ministry of Tourism is based on policies and actions for Greek tourism in the coming decades, based on moderation and balance, which are taken into account in every decision, care for the protection of the natural and cultural environment, and of course respect for people and local communities, with a clear vision and goal of sustainability, resilience, competitiveness of destinations, and the Greek tourism product," she said. Kefalogianni said that the strategic objectives of the Ministry of Tourism are sustainable tourism development, the diversification and enrichment of the tourism product, the strengthening of human capital in tourism through the upgrading of tourism education and training, and the strengthening of the promotion of the Greek tourism product. At the same time, a horizontal policy is being developed to improve accessibility to tourism activity.
