PPC made payments of €8.7 million to the state due to the mining activity of the lignite mines for the year ended December 31, 2023.

Specifically, as stated in the announcement:

The PPC group, in accordance with the provisions of articles 155 and 156 of Law No. 4548/2018, as applicable, informs the investing public that due to the mining activity of the lignite mines, it paid to the Greek Government in the financial year ended December 31, 2023, an amount of € 8.7 million.

In more detail, the payments are as follows:

• Development Fee for Industrial Areas Development of Electricity Production from Lignite Plants, amounting to €7.8 million.
• Archaeological rescue excavations amount to €0.9 million.The amount of €0.9 million is for the construction of power plants for the generation of electricity from renewable energy sources.
