During an interview with CNN, Kyriakos Mitsotakis clarified that labor in Greece is a five-day workweek and that this will not alter.

In the full-length interview, he focused on common defence and the initiatives being taken for Europe's strategic autonomy, while on the rise of the far-right in Europe, he spoke of exaggerations, noting that traditional parties are called upon to provide credible answers to real problems.

Specifically, regarding the headlines in foreign media about the introduction of "six-day work" in the country, Kyriakos Mitsotakis said that this is a myth, clarifying that it concerns limited sectors that operate 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, and are decided in agreement with the employee with significant extra pay.

"Greece has a five-day working week, and this is not going to change. We treat the protection of labour rights as something extremely serious. That is why we have taken strict measures for employers who violate the law in their recruitment; we impose very heavy fines," he said.
