Attica Bank and Deutsche Bank have signed a loan agreement with Jasper Wind S.A. for the financing of renewable energy projects in the Peloponnese.

The deal concerns the financing of the construction and operation of three wind farms with a total capacity of 41 MW in the prefecture of Laconia, for an amount of €63 million. The project, for a total amount of €80 million, has been financed with long-term debt and equity from Jasper. The construction of the projects, which started in 2023, is being executed at a rapid pace, and the commissioning is set for September 2024.

Attica Bank acted as the lead arranger and Deutsche Bank as the structuring bank, marking the bank's collaboration on renewable energy projects with one of Europe's leading financial groups.
Jasper Wind Greece, founded in 1998, is a pioneer in the field of renewable energy in wind and photovoltaic and is currently the largest Greek Independent Power Producer (IPP), with an installed capacity approaching 200 MW with the completion of all three new wind farms. Its projects under development exceed 1000 MW in Greece, Bulgaria, and Romania.

Attica Bank's CEO, Ms. Eleni Vrettou, said. Attica Bank's participation in the construction and financing of the company's investment in the construction of three wind farms underlines the momentum our bank has developed in financing renewable energy projects through the Structured Finance unit we created in 2023.

The partnership with Deutsche Bank is a vote of confidence in the transformation and prospects of both Attica Bank and the country in the transition to sustainable growth." Paul Battelle, Head of Energy Transition Finance at Deutsche Bank, said: "Greece has entered a new trajectory after the financial crisis. The renewable energy sector is particularly important for the country and Europe, and we are very pleased that Deutsche Bank is able to support this transaction. We are equally pleased to have worked with Attica Bank's Structured Finance unit to structure the financing for the three wind farms and to support Jasper Group in the development of its portfolio. The professionalism and dedication of everyone involved were key factors in the creation of a complex financial structure and its successful completion."

Mr. Manthos Tziamourtas, Chairman of Jasper Group, said: "We are delighted to have completed the financing of three more 41 MW wind farms in the Molae region of Laconia. Jasper is actively participating in the transition to green energy and the circular economy by supporting the Greek Energy and Climate Plan (ECCP) and the countries where it maintains projects. We are working closely with the Municipalities of Monemvasia and Evrotas to support local communities on multiple levels, and we thank all our partners, municipal councils, mayors, and citizens for their help in implementing the project. Partnering with Attica Bank and Deutsche Bank is a great sign of trust and honor to our company and the Jasper team."
