All 39 airports in the nation that operate commercial flights saw an increase in passenger traffic in the first half of 2024 of 11.4% over the same period the previous year (24 CAA, 14 FRAPORT GREECE, and AIA).

An increase of 11.4% compared to last year was recorded in passenger traffic in the first half of 2024 for all the country's airports where commercial flights are operated (39 airports: 24 CAA, 14 FRAPORT GREECE, AIA).

Specifically, according to the statistics of the Civil Aviation Authority, the total number of passengers in the period January–June 2024 reached 30,594,981, compared to 27,463,127 passengers in the corresponding period January–June 2023.

For all 39 airports in the nation, where the CAA primarily controls air traffic, there was an increase of +7.8% in the number of aircraft movements (arrivals and departures of domestic and foreign aircraft) in the first half of 2024 compared to the corresponding period of January-June 2023.

In particular, 242,170 flights were made in the first half of 2024, compared to 224,712 flights in the first half of 2023. In terms of passenger traffic at the 24 airports managed by the CAA, according to provisional statistics for the first half of 2024, there is an increase of 6.3%. In particular, the total number of passengers handled (international and domestic passenger arrivals and departures) reached 4,032,909 passengers in the period January–June this year, compared to 3,792,575 passengers in the corresponding period in 2023.
