The decision to cancel the tender for the €163 million PPP project for the 13 regional Civil Protection centers has been taken by Building Infrastructures SA (KTYP). In essence, this is a double tender that has attracted the interest of the major players in the sector and has been announced
3,5 years ago.
In more detail, one tender
concerned:
- the construction and operation of the centres in the regions of Eastern Macedonia-Thrace, Central Macedonia, Western Macedonia, Western Macedonia, Thessaly, Epirus, North Aegean and Ionian Islands, with an estimated value of €70.8 million (excluding VAT)
- the construction and operation of the centres in Central Greece, Attica, Peloponnese, Western Greece, Crete and South Aegean, with with an estimated value of €60.7 million (excluding VAT)
GEK Terna, Aktor Concessions, Avax, Mytilineos-AATESE, and Intrakat all expressed interest in the tender; however, the tender came to a standstill because the Ministry of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection failed to deliver the necessary land for the construction of the 13 centers.
STUDENT RESIDENCES
Similarly, the PPP tender for 750 student residences in Western Macedonia at the University of Western Macedonia starts again.
THE PROJECT
The project is estimated at €84.95 million (excluding VAT) and concerns the construction of 750 dormitories at the University of Western Macedonia in Ptolemaida, Florina, and Kozani, as well as a conference centre on the Kozani campus. The project provides for the financing, construction, operation, technical management, and cleaning services of the buildings in the 4 cities.
