The international public tender for the sub-concession of port services and the right to use, operate, manage, and exploit the tourist shelter at Spilia, within the central port of Corfu, has started.
According to the relevant announcement of the Hellenic Property Fund, the duration of the sub-concession contract is 25 years. The tender procedure will be conducted in one phase, with a deadline for the submission of bids on December 20, 2024.
The Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund holds 100% of the share capital of the company "Corfu Port Authority S.A.", which has the exclusive right to use and exploit the land, buildings, and facilities, including the central port of Corfu, until 2070.
The total area of the land area of the shelter is 7.800 sq. m., while the sea area occupies 35.000 sq. m. Important works for the full development of the tourist boat shelter at Spilia are underway and are expected to be completed within the next few months. Upon completion of the works, a total of 80 berths for yachts of up to 25 metres in length will be created, while the interventions include, among others, the creation of a pedestrian and vehicular traffic network, parking spaces, benches, and green areas.
