With corporate results boosting investor sentiment, Athens Avenue is moving for its first bullish session of the week, while international sentiment remains favourable.

Specifically, the General Index moves at 1,473.8 points with a gain of 0.9% and turnover at 45 million euros, while 10.5 million pieces have been traded.

Piraeus is setting the pace in trading after its "explosive" figures with a 2.8% gain and a turnover of more than a quarter of the day, over 12.6 million euros.

After a sluggish start, the rest of the banking sector is gradually following suit, with Eurobank announcing figures at the close at +2.4%, ΝΒG at +1.5% and Alpha at +1%.

The market is also receiving a strong boost from Titanas at +2.2% following its own figures, with "heavy" Coca-Cola also contributing significantly at +1.4%. Still with gains of more than 1% in the 25 are EYDAP, Sarantis, and ELPE.

On the other hand, Ellaktor continues to decline for the 8th session after the capital return (22/7) with losses of 1% today, while Cenergy moves -0.7%.

In the lower layers, Perfomance posts a turnover of over €400k in its debut on the Main Market, while Optima posts small losses despite the positive sentiment in the banks.
