The Angelikousis Group has recently concluded an important agreement for the expansion of its fleet and activities.

According to Trade Winds,, Maistros Shiptrade Limited, a company affiliated with the Angelikousis Group, signed an agreement with Altera Infrastructure Holdings (Altera) for the acquisition of UK-based Altera Shuttle Tankers (AST) for approximately $2 billion.

Altera Shuttle Tankers is one of the world's leading shuttle tanker operators, managing 18 such tankers operating in Brazil, Canada and the North Sea.

With this agreement, the Angelikousis Group, which is one of the world's largest private shipping groups, will strengthen its position in the global market by expanding its fleet, which currently has 144 vessels and 23 vessels on order.

Finally, it is noted that the deal is expected to be finalised in the first half of 2025, following the finalisation of all necessary regulatory approvals.
