Coca-Cola HBC AG achieved a strong 13.9% increase in net sales revenue in the third quarter, it said in a statement on Thursday. In fact, on a nine-month 2024 level, the increase in net sales amounts to 13.7%. At the same time, a 4.0% increase in sales volume on an organic basis was recorded.

The increase was mainly driven by the strategic priority categories, with carbonated soft drinks up 3.9%, energy drinks up 28.0% and coffee up 35.6%. There was also an increase in organic revenue per case of 9.5%, driven by targeted revenue growth management initiatives.

Net sales on a reported basis increased by 8.9%, with strong organic growth partly offset by unfavourable currency movements in emerging markets, and continued market share growth in value terms in ready-to-drink non-alcoholic beverages and carbonated soft drinks in the first nine months of the year.

Finally, there was broad-based growth in net organic revenues, with increases in sales volumes and revenue per case in all three of our business segments, despite varying conditions between markets.

  • Developed markets: Net organic revenue growth of 3.0%, with sales volume growth despite different consumer environment conditions across markets.
  • Developing markets: Net organic revenue growth of 12.6%, mainly driven by revenue per box expansion and positive sales volume performance.
  • Emerging markets: Net organic revenue growth of 24.1%, mainly driven by revenue per box expansion and good sales volume growth, despite an unfavourable environment in several markets.

Mr. Zoran Bogdanovic, CEO of Coca-Cola HBC AG, commented: "The targeted execution of our strategic priorities contributed to strong revenue growth of 13.9% in this quarter as well, with good sales volume momentum in all three of our business segments, as well as expanding revenue per case. I am pleased that the third quarter results come as a continuation of the momentum of the first half and clearly demonstrate that our 24/7 consumer product portfolio, combined with our niche capabilities, can drive good quality growth in a variety of market conditions. We recognise the macroeconomic and geopolitical challenges, as well as the different consumer environment conditions in the countries where we operate. Nevertheless, given our strong performance in the first nine months of the year, and our belief that we can continue our positive market performance, we are updating our financial guidance for the year. I would like to thank our teams for their hard work and flexibility, as well as our customers, suppliers, The Coca-Cola Company and all our other partners for their cooperation. I look forward to working together to deliver on the ambitions we set for 2024 and prepare for the years ahead."
