IPTO is proceeding with a tender with a budget of €4.95 million for facilities at the Agios Stefanos substation.

More specifically, the scope of the contract concerns the installation and commissioning of an integrated digital system for protection, control, measurement, signaling, and communication with the CCS at the site of the Agios Stefanos substation in Attica.

The works to be implemented are summarised below:

  • Design, supply and installation of the control, protection, measurement, and signaling equipment at 400 kV, 150 kV, and 30kV within the existing residential cabinets.
  • Design, supply and installation of the central systems of the PSC for the supervision and control of all equipment within the existing Control Building.
  • Design, supply and installation of cables from the digital system equipment to the corresponding yard equipment.
  • Design, supply and install fiber optic connection cables between the 400kV, 150kV and 30kV equipment protection panels and the central SCADA equipment installed in the existing Control Building and connect them on either side.
  • Design, supply and installation of cables for connection between existing SP installations and new equipment. Existing SP loops will be used and cables will be replaced from the local interconnect cells in the housings and control room to the equipment panels
  • Design, supply and installation of cables for the connection between voltage, intensity and other equipment (e.g. meters).
  • Design, supply and installation of cables for the connection between existing EP installations and new equipment. Existing EP loops will be used and cables will be replaced from the local interconnection cells in the housings and control room to the equipment panels.

Also part of the project is the interconnection of the new control and protection cables to the individual components of the existing gates of the primary equipment and the supply of the communication equipment with the CEC (including the relevant training). The specific works of connection to the power equipment and supply of the communication device with the CEC are optional.
