In the period January–July 2024, the cash result of the central government showed a surplus of EUR 338 million, compared to a deficit of EUR 2,178 million in the corresponding period of 2023, the Bank of Greece announced.

In the period January–July 2024, the cash result of the central government showed a surplus of EUR 338 million, compared to a deficit of EUR 2,178 million in the corresponding period of 2023, the Bank of Greece announced.

During this period, regular budget revenues amounted to EUR 37,523 million, up from EUR 33,774 million last year. As for regular budget expenditure, it amounted to EUR 34,256 million, up from EUR 34,702 million in January–July 2023.

The cash primary surplus was EUR 338 million, compared to a deficit of EUR 2.18 billion in the first seven months of 2023.
