The Athens Stock Exchange continued the stagnation of the last few days, with sellers beating the buyers.

The lack of willingness to take risks, growing fears about the Middle East and... summer turnover did not allow for a convincing upward escape, despite the intraday breach of 1,440 points.

Thus, the Greek market remained stuck in the 1,430 area, although the average return since the beginning of the year is a very satisfactory +11%.

All this, while investors' attention is gradually turning to the financials of the listed companies (Cenergy, Motor Oil, Helleniq Energy, Austriacard), but also to the upcoming restructuring of the MSCI indices.

Against this backdrop, in the second session of the week, the General Index fell slightly by 0.36% to close at 1,432.46 points, close to the daily low, losing five points compared to Monday's close (1,437.68 points).

The arc of daily fluctuations was fixed at 15 points (from 1,432.31 to 1,447.64 points), with a turnover of 68 million euros, of which 1 million euros was related to pre-agreed packages.

The banking index continued the stagnation pattern of the last few days, ending at -0.16% and 1,281 points.

Piraeus shares were limited to -1.82% and EUR 3.88, Alpha shares followed at -0.25% and EUR 1.59, ΝΒG shares were almost unchanged at EUR 8.02, while Eurobank shares gained +0.72% and EUR 2.10.

In the high-cap index (-0.37% and 3,491 points), Cenergy's shares lost 3.3% and fell to 9.6 euros ahead of the publication of the half-yearly figures. Titan - Viohalco shares fell by more than 2%, while shares of Autohellas, Metlen, Sarantis, PPC and OTE each lost at least 1%. On the opposite side, Coca - Cola shares expanded by +1.39% and returned to 32 euros. Motor Oil shares closed up +0.65% and approached EUR 22 again.

As for the mid-cap index (-0.46% and 2,281 points), Intrakat's share stood out negatively at -2.7%, losing its 5 euro supports. The shares of PPA, Intralot, AVAX, Quest Symmetries, Dimand, and Austriacard also experienced losses of more than 1%. On the other hand, Optima Bank's shares gained 1.3%.
