Signing of the concession contract for the development of Pylos Marina
The contract for the concession of the Pylos Marina for 40 years was signed on Tuesday between the Greek State and the Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund, the company Marina Pylos S.A. as concessionaire, and its shareholders, D Marinas Hellas Monopropigi S.A. and Tourist Enterprises Messinia S.A., for a minimum consideration of 1.5 million euros.

HRADF, a member company of the State Treasury, announces today the signing of the contract for the concession of Pylos Marina for 40 years between the Greek State and the Fund on the one hand and the company Marina Pylou on the other hand for a minimum consideration of €1.5 million. 

The total value of the agreement includes a one-time payment at the beginning of the concession and an additional percentage of the annual gross revenues of the Marina. The concessionaire is estimated to implement investments of more than €10 million in the coming years to upgrade the infrastructure and operational capacity of Pylos Marina.

The Pylos Marina is located in the central and north-eastern part of the coastal zone of the city of Pylos, with a berthing capacity of about 130 tourist vessels with a length of 8 to 30 metres.

The Minister of Tourism, Olga Kefalogianni, said: "The contract for the concession of Pylos Marina seals our commitment to the qualitative development of the country's tourism product, offering high-quality infrastructure and enhancing Greece's competitiveness internationally. The development of Pylos Marina is part of our broader planning for the marina network, aiming to make Greece a leading sailing and yachting destination in the Mediterranean and a major player in the global marine tourism market. At the same time, at the Ministry of Tourism, through the planning of the network of tourist ports, we aim to link marinas with the historical and cultural attractions of the country in order to enhance and diversify the tourist experience, attract high-income tourists, promote the economic development of coastal areas and create economies of scale in the wider region."

The CEO, Dimitris Politis, said: "We are particularly pleased that an investment group with extensive experience in the development and management of tourist ports is undertaking the development of Pylos Marina. With significant investments, the marina will be transformed in the coming years, significantly improving the user experience and the quality of the tourism product of the region, which has established itself as one of the most important destinations in Greece. The development of Pylos Marina is part of the efforts of the Hellenic Property Development Fund to develop a network of high-quality tourist ports in Western Greece by upgrading existing ones in Pylos and Argostoli and creating new ones in Corfu. These projects will offer great multiplier benefits to the local economies by creating new jobs, highlighting the country's competitive advantages and developing new skills." 

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the GrowthFund, Stefanos Theodorides, stressed: "The signing of the concession agreement for the development of Pylos Marina is part of an integrated plan for the development of marine tourism in our country through the modernization of infrastructure and the qualitative upgrading of the national tourism product by the Ypertha Fund Group. Especially for the wider area of Pylos, the development of the marina is a continuation of significant investments in the wider region, which, among others, will soon include the international airport of Kalamata, which will further enhance the dynamics of tourism development with high quality criteria." 

The member of the Board of Directors and legal representative of Pylos Marina, S.A.
