"We expect late 2024 to early 2025 to start the pure construction project at Thriasio. Permitting is progressing and is on track to complete critical milestones in the autumn," Vassilis Maglaras, Director of Strategic Investments at Goldair, tells BnB Daily. He says that "even if there are delays, they will not be long, but of a few weeks". 

THE PROJECT

The project includes:

  • The first logistics park in Greece
  •  Development of warehouses
  • Supporting buildings 235,000 sq. m.
  •  Road network
  •  Railway network

In particular:

  • 260,626 m2 of storage space
  •  5 278 m2 of support functions
  • 42,000 m2 of container handling areas with terminal and warehouse (container terminal)
  • 7 250 m2 of paved heavy vehicle traffic routes
  • 5 740 m2 of railway line
  •  1 140 m2 of railway platforms
  •  165 outdoor parking spaces for large truck
  • 1 279 open-air parking spaces for private cars
  • car parking
  •  385 spaces for large goods vehicles
  • 10.20 MW photovoltaic units with a 7 MW storage system

EXPANSION IN ROMANIA 

At the same time, Goldair is strengthening its shares in Romania. In this direction, it has closed a deal of Goldair Cargo Romania and Sarkkrom to provide logistics services. In particular, a full logistics services contract was signed with Sarkkrom, representative of the Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein brands in the Romanian market.

WHAT IT INCLUDES

In essence, Goldair Romania through its Bucharest facility, will manage Sarkkrom's large quantities of pieces and codes and offer customised logistics solutions. 

The services, among others, include:

  • item picking
  • e-shop orders fulfillment
  • reverse logistics (e.g., e-shop e-shop e-shop e-shop e-commerce services)
  • distribution to the final destination

THE BUSINESS PLAN

Goldair Cargo Romania plans to expand its activities both in the ogistics market in Romania as well as in the wider Eastern European region, with a focus on further developing new partnerships across the entire range of logistics services and establishing itself as one of the leading mass volume micrologistics companies.
