Carpathian Springs has announced a €20 million investment to expand the production of Aqua Carpatica in Romania.

According to an announcement, the significant demand for AQUA Carpatica products in the international markets where it is present led Carpathian Springs (AQUA Carpatica) to make a new investment to create its sixth plant (the 10th bottling line), thus expanding its production. It is estimated that this new investment will be worth €20 million and will be completed in 2025.

Yannis Valvis, president and CEO of Carpathian Springs (AQUA Carpatica), said: "The significant demand for AQUA Carpatica that we are seeing this year, not only in Romania but in the majority of markets where we have a presence, led us to the decision to proceed with the construction of our sixth AQUA Carpatica plant, in Vatra Dornei. This significant investment will ensure that AQUA Carpatica will continue to successfully meet consumer demand from 2025 onwards. We are particularly pleased with this development. Besides, this investment is proof of our commitment to offer consumers the purest and highest quality water with that great taste!"

AQUA Carpatica springs were discovered in 2005, and after being researched and analysed for 5 consecutive years, bottling started in 2010. AQUA Carpatica has won more than 100 international awards for both quality and smooth taste while leaving no aftertaste. Thanks to the zero nitrates (naturally carbonated water) and almost zero nitrates (natural mineral water), Aqua Carpatica is ideal for pregnant women and children. AQUA Carpatica is already on the world markets (United States, Great Britain, Japan, Dubai, Spain, Australia, Hungary, China, etc.).

In 2022, AQUA Carpatica entered into a strategic agreement with PepsiCo that enables expansion into other markets, including the USA.
