Athens International Airport recorded 3.64 million passengers during August, an increase of 10.5% compared to August last year. 

According to the preliminary data published by Athens International Airport, both domestic and international passenger traffic exceeded last year's figures by 6.8% and 12.1%, respectively.

In total, during the first eight months of the year, the airport's traffic reached 21.26 million passengers, an increase of 13.9%. Passenger traffic, both domestic and international, showed an increase of 7.8% and 16.6%, respectively.

The number of flights at Athens International Airport during the first eight months of 2024 amounted to 180,594, recording an increase of 11.8% compared to the same period in 2023. 

Both domestic and international flights recorded an increase of 5.2% and 17.0% compared to 2023.
