Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis posted the data on the growth of the Greek economy in the second quarter on Facebook and X, noting that Greece recorded the second highest growth rate in the European Union.

"I want to share today some encouraging news coming from Eurostat, according to which the Greek economy grew at the second highest rate in the European Union in the second quarter of 2024 compared to the first quarter.

But for growth to be meaningful, it must translate into even more, better-paid jobs, boosting disposable income, and reducing inequalities. More in my speech tomorrow at the Thessaloniki International Trade Fair,"  Mitsotakis said.
