The 300-member central committee of the main opposition party on Sunday approved a censure motion against SYRIZA leader Stefanos Kasselakis.

A total of 163 voted in favor of the censure motion, 120 voted against, and there were three invalid or blank votes. The motion required 148 votes to pass.

In the event that the Central Committee's confidence in the president is withdrawn by 50% +1 of its members, an extraordinary congress shall be convened.

The announcement of the congress, the organisation of the pre-congress procedure, the pre-congress documents and the measure of representation are the responsibility of the Central Committee.

The extraordinary congress shall be convened within a maximum of three months from the date of the request.
