The Athens Stock Exchange continues with a noteworthy step, as buyers and sellers are fighting for control of the bias, despite the morning lead of the former.

Somehow, the Greek market remains stuck in the... mediocrity of the last few weeks, while the value of daily transactions remains at levels well below the 100 million euro mark.

And all this, despite the fact that on the one hand, the valuations of the listed companies are proving to be quite attractive, given the robust profitability of the first half of the year, and on the other hand, Moody's is very likely to give the investment grade in Friday's rating.

More specifically, in the second session of the week, the General Index declined marginally by 0.13% to 1,432.24 points, losing about two points compared to Monday's close (1,434.17 points).

The arc of daily fluctuations extends to nine points (1,432.14 to 1,441.27 points), with the turnover of transactions not exceeding 32 million euros, despite the fact that 9.5 million euros concern pre-agreed packages.

The banking index, which is waiting for the final decisions of the HFSF on NBG and the listing of Bank of Cyprus, retracts for the 3rd consecutive session, as it is at -0.46% and 1,239 points.

Eurobank's shares are limited to -0.70% and EUR 1.998, Alpha's shares follow at -0.55% and EUR 1.5315, ΝΒG shares trade at -0.27% and EUR 7.526, and Piraeus shares decline to -0.18% and EUR 3.973.

In the high-cap index (-0.10% and 3,478 points), the shares of Aegean, which publishes its half-year figures tomorrow, slip -1.7% and 11.1 euros. Ellaktor and OTE follow at -1.5% and -1%, with the latter falling below 15 euros. On the flip side, Coca-CCola's shares gain 1.8% and recover to 34 euros (a 4-year high). For its part, the shares of AIA are stagnant, which today announces its first-half results.

As for the mid-cap index (-0.38% and 2,305 points), Intralot's shares stand out negatively at -1% and 1.15 euros, with Profile and Techniki Olympiaki shares down 1.5% and 1.6%, respectively. In contrast, Ideal Holdings' shares are up +1.2% and 5.8 euros.
