Premiums up 6.7% in the first half of 2024
Insurance premium production in Greece rose by 6.7% in the first half of 2024, reaching €2,814 billion.

Insurance premium production in Greece rose by 6.7% in the first half of 2024, reaching €2,814 billion.

This is according to a survey by the Association of Insurance Companies on Insurance Premium Production January–June 2024, which was released today and posted on the association's website.

It will be recalled that the NCAEE conducts a survey on premium production per month among its member insurance companies and, in total, 47 insurance companies responded, of which 42 were active in Non-life insurance and 14 in Life insurance.

According to the data, a comparison of the premium production declarations for the months of January - June 2024 with those for the same period for 2023 of the same companies, shows the following:

  • Life Insurance recorded an increase of 4.9% and premiums of €1,3 billion
  •  Non-life insurance recorded an increase of 8.5% with premiums of €1,4 billion of which motor liability had an increase of 3.4%.
