The procedure for submitting binding offers for the project "Irrigation network of Yperia P.E. Larissa-Orfanes P.E. Karditsa,"  which will be implemented as a PPP project included in the Water 2.0 program, has been completed. , as announced by the Minister of Rural Development and Food Costas Tsiaras, the Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance Nikos Papathanasis, and the Secretary General of National Resources and Infrastructure Dimitris Papagiannidis. 

The binding offers for the project, with a budget of €107,2 million (plus VAT) in terms of net present value with parallel financing of €24,044 million from the Recovery Fund, i.e., a total of €131,244 million, were submitted, through ESIDES, by the economic operators GEK TERNA S.A. and MYTILINEOS S.A.-MESOGEIO S.A.

This is the third PPP project in a row to be put out to tender. It has to do with doing all the necessary studies, building, funding, maintaining, and running an Integrated Irrigation Network System of the Hyperia-Orfana Irrigation Network. This system will use the existing operational boreholes to water about 67.800 hectares of arable land on farms next to the river Enipeas in Polyneri, Stavros, Katochori, Elliniko, Vrysions & Yperia in the Regional Unity of Larissa, as well as Orfanes, Fyllou, and Lefki in the Regional Unity of Karditsa.
